Balmain RTW Spring/Summer 2012 Collection at Paris Fashion Week
This year the fashion house Balmain welcomed a new designer, Oliver Rousteing. At only 25 years of age Rousteing did a fabulous job of keeping the collection edgy and glam, while also making it a tad more chic. I absolutely loved the rock-and-roll and western feel that the Spring/Summer 2012 runway looks had. The metallic detailing on the dresses, skirts, and pants was amazing. No need to accessorize with any of those statement pieces! The skirts and pants looked fantastic dressed down with button-up shirts or pullovers. Some other runway looks, not pictured here, included leather shorts, pants, and skirts, dresses with fringe, gold chunky buckles, and structured blazers with the occasional floral print item here and there. So far, one of my favourite collections at Paris Fashion Week.
