My favourite dresses (and tuxedo) from this year’s Golden Globes.
One trend that kept reappearing on the red carpet was accentuated waistlines. The majority of the dresses had waistbands, whether they were thick or thin, embellished or plain, they were everywhere! I loved this bit of detailing as it made the ladies look that much more stunning. Emma Stone pulled off this look very well with a black belt. I’m sure the dress would have looked good with or without the belt, but it was a great accessory to add to her ensemble.
All of the men on the red carpet looked very classy, but Matthew Morrison was the one who stood out the most to me. He looked so laid back and his suit was gorgeous. Props to him!

My obsession with Alexander McQueen scarves started several years ago, when I would flip through gossip magazines and see them draped around the necks of celebrities such as Mary-Kate Olsen, Lindsay Lohan, and Nicole Richie. Although they have been around for years now you still see them everywhere, and they still look just as fashionable as ever. Fashionistas around the world also make these scarves double as headbands, and accessories for their purses. Why not right?
Due to the steep price of these 100% silk scarves (they retail around $300) I could never justify buying myself one, not just yet anyways. So I continued to lust over them on the the Alexander McQueen Scarf Boutique, on Tumblr, and whenever I saw them in magazines.
Thanks to my amazing sister, and best friend, I received one this year for Christmas. This was the last thing that I expected to see when I tore away the tissue paper, and I don’t think I stopped smiling for hours afterwards. I’m in love with my black and white skull scarf, it is definitely now my favourite accessory. Expect to see it in many future posts xo
